GUIDE TO WRITING KICK A** GOALS FOR MAKERS AND ARTISANS
This past year has been crazy.
Crazy Full, of blessings, lessons, adventures, and many new friends.
I am learning so much about myself, my love for the handmade, for making new friends, and for growing. I have learned that there is always room for improvement.
In myself, my business, and in my family life…and it all starts with me. (Partly why the calendar is late : )
The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are.
First, let's take a new look at where you are. Then I'll tell you might want to rethink where you think you are.
Ok, so where are you? Do you have stock for street shows or are you taking commissions? Are you on social media? Do you have a website? It might be time to start planning for that. Your budget might not allow you all the changes you need right away and that is ok. Go through this guide and write down your goals...figure out what is most important to your business. If you have any questions or need some help I am always ready to talk. Perhaps you are ready to work on your brand and could really benefit from a brand strategist, or now is the time to write a new business plan. Do you have an old website that needs to come into the 21st century?
Do what you can with what you have, but let’s make that plan to take you to the next level and kick 2018’s butt!
Begin setting your goals for 2019 with me.
Learn your WHY, let's discuss how to make that work for you and your brand. I encourage you to sit down and figure out your goals. Without goals, you can’t set a strategy to meet them.
So, here is to 2018.
A year of endless possibilities, blessings, lessons, and even more adventure.
If you don't know who I am and what I am all about...my vision, which I discuss in the guide is:
“Helping Handmade Brands help themselves while making a difference.“
I want to support and encourage makers and artisans to continue to create solutions and products that as a society we can be proud of, to return the brands of the world to a simpler time and declare war on anonymity and delight in the handmade.
Winston Churchill once said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”
This year has been nuts. Full of learning and stretching myself too thin. I started the year without setting clear goals and without setting a strategy to get there. This year I am setting some clear goals and creating a strategy for myself to achieve them.
It is imperative we not only discover what goals we would like to achieve but actually write down a strategy to achieve them.
